This years tournament is set to be the toughest yet. Many International 7s players will be on show. The ADIDAS MARAUDERS won at the Kinsale 7s, and the squad has included several International 7s players, like NOAH CATO (Saracens). The SUNSEEKER STONED PUPS have a mix of England and New Zealand International 7s players, these include CHARLIE HORE (Otago Highlanders Super 14), MIKE ROBERTS, and JOHN HYLTON (England 7s). BUFFALO RULES are playing their first Marbella 7s, and their squad is set to include several stars from the Neath Swansea Ospreys. Also in their squad will be the former New Zealand International JASON SPICE. The DHL IRISH EXILES have been a big hit on the 7s tournament this year, losing the semi-final against the MARAUDERS in Kinsale. Their squad includes several Irish International 7s players, and is run by Ces Shaw. The VIATOR SPANISH BAABAAS are back this year, and will be stronger than ever. Most of the squad is made up from Spanish International players, including ORIOL RIPOL (Sale Sharks). CASCAIS are a World famous 7s team from Portugal. Based in Lisbon, the team should have some International players, boosted after their great efforts in reaching the last World Cup in France. APACHE are back this year, run by Adam Hurst. Their team always boasts some players from National 1, and the Premiership in England. The SMURFS are making their first visit to Marbella, and contain some Welsh 7s Internationals. The team is run by Llyr Lane from Esher. ANDALUCIA SELECTION represent the local area, and should prove to be quite strong, as Andalucia is becoming very strong within Spanish Rugby. REDINGENSIANS are back. Winners of last year's COPA DE PLATA (Plate winners). They are coming with a group of 50 people, so, you should notice them around the Port during the weekend. ELTHAMIANS are back, with a new All Black kit (I think that might be a bad idea if the sun come out?). WORLDS CONNECT are also making their first trip to the 7s. This team might be a dark horse, as I know little about their players, but I am sure they will enjoy the weekend.
